What we collect
When you register, we collect your email address, optional display name, password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text), country, required legal-consent timestamp, and policy version. We assign an internal user ID for authentication and syncing. If you separately opt in to promotional email, we store the opt-in timestamp.
As you use the service, we record course progress, quiz scores, placement-test results, flashcard review history, and purchase/entitlement status so lessons can continue where you left off and paid access works across devices. Speaking-practice audio remains on your device and is not uploaded.
Payment data
We never see or store your card number. Website payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record; iOS in-app subscriptions are handled by Apple. Each provider applies its own privacy policy. We receive only transaction and subscription details needed to verify the purchase and grant or revoke access.
How we use your data
- Provide and personalize your course, placement, progress, and spaced-repetition reviews
- Send required account emails, including verification, password reset, gifts, donation acknowledgements, and billing notices
- Send optional course news, learning tips, and offers only when you separately opt in
- Respond to support requests sent to info@tenforworld.com
We do not sell your personal data.
Promotional email consent is optional and separate from account creation. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in a promotional email or by contacting info@tenforworld.com. Required account and billing messages may still be sent when needed to provide the service.
Where your data lives
Application data is hosted on Neon (Postgres) and Vercel; transactional email is sent via Resend; website payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy; iOS subscriptions are processed by Apple; optional AI writing-coach text is processed by Anthropic when you explicitly request a review. These providers process data under their own security and privacy commitments.
Your choices
You can permanently delete your account and associated learning data directly in the TenForWorld app under Account → Delete account. You can also contact info@tenforworld.com for help. Billing records that we are legally required to keep may remain with the relevant payment provider. Deleting an account does not cancel an App Store subscription; manage or cancel that separately in Apple Subscriptions.
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies for your login session and site-language preference. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
